High Voltage Enclosures

GBSHV 316L stainless steel high-voltage enclosures are specified for rugged, low-maintenance HV terminations in harsh environments and hazardous locations. Proven in oil & gas and other high-risk installations, the platform supports up to eight incoming/outgoing power cables with conductor sizes up to 800 mm². Depending on area classification, designs can be engineered and documented for approvals up to 11 kV (Zone 1) and up to 15 kV (Zone 2). Optional configurations include segregated chambers for fiber-optic terminations, anti-condensation heaters, air purging/pressurization concepts, and IP68 underwater versions.
XINDUX supports the full project workflow: requirements review, layout drawings, machining, and assembly, so the final enclosure matches cable routing, clearances, and service access with defined interfaces for gland plates, earthing, and inspection during commissioning worldwide.

Faqs

GBSHV is a 316L stainless steel enclosure platform for high-voltage terminations and cable distribution where long service life and minimal maintenance are required after installation.

It is often specified for oil & gas and other hazardous/“dangerous location” installations where environmental exposure and access constraints demand a rugged enclosure.

Approved designs can be engineered up to 11 kV in Zone 1 and up to 15 kV in Zone 2, depending on the project scope and area classification.

GBSHV configurations can be designed with up to 8 incoming and outgoing cables (total connections defined per project).

The platform supports power cables up to 800 mm² maximum cable size (final gland/termination selection is project-specific).

Yes, optional extras include separate housings/chambers for fiber-optic cable connections, helping to keep interfaces organized and protected.

Yes, IP68 underwater versions are available as an option, specified project-wise.

Yes, anti-condensation heating is available as an option for humidity/temperature cycling conditions.

Yes, air purging can be specified as an optional extra, aligned with your site standards and safety concept.

316L is chosen for high corrosion resistance and long-term durability, especially relevant for offshore, coastal, chemical, and aggressive industrial environments.

Both are possible: from empty housings to machined and equipped builds (e.g., prepared cable entries, internal build-up, and project-specific assembly).

Yes. We support projects by producing layout drawings, checking customer requirements, and reviewing whether the system is internally consistent (cable schedule, routing, clearances, service access, and interfaces).

Area classification (Zone), target voltage level, cable schedule (count, sizes, bend radius), gland preferences, termination concept, earthing/bonding requirements, mounting arrangement, and any separation requirements (e.g., fiber chamber).

Quantity, delivery target, installation environment, required approvals/zone, cable entry count and max sizes, requested options (IP68, heating, purging, fiber chamber), and whether the delivery is empty vs. assembled.

Yes, GBSHV can be configured with separate chambers/housings, typically used to isolate interfaces (e.g., fiber optics) and simplify service work.

The platform is selected specifically to reduce post-install intervention: durable materials, project-defined access concept, and optional heating/purging/IP68 features to match the environment.

GBSHV is typically project-based, because approvals, cable entry layout, and options must match your installation requirements.

Documentation is aligned to the project scope and may include drawings, configuration/BOM, and project-specific approval/support documentation depending on the required compliance route.

Yes, by freezing the design early (drawings + scope) and building a repeatable configuration package for multi-site rollouts.

Late changes to cable count/sizes, missing separation requirements (power vs fiber), or unclear zone/approval scope. Avoid by sharing the cable schedule and classification early, then we validate the configuration before release.
